Editing the same large file (thousands of lines) in vscode, using side-by-side windows to edit different parts of a file. When one side is edited and formatted and saved, the other window jumps to the last line, greatly slowing down efficiency during editing.
To resolve this issue, find the setting scrollBeyondLastLine and turn it off.
The side effect is that you cannot drag the editing window beyond the last line, so when editing the last line of small files, you cannot scroll to the center of the screen, but this is a minor issue.
